        Description

        Buy L-Carnitine Online

L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring compound that plays an important role in transporting long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria for energy production. It is widely studied in nutritional, exercise, metabolic, and body-composition research.

        Product Information

The body naturally produces L-carnitine, while additional amounts come from dietary sources and supplements. Its central biological role is closely connected with mitochondrial fatty-acid transport and energy metabolism.

        How It Works

L-Carnitine helps transport long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria, where they undergo beta-oxidation and contribute to energy production. This makes L-carnitine particularly relevant to research involving fat metabolism and exercise.

        POTENTIAL BENEFITS

        1. Supports Fatty-Acid Metabolism

L-Carnitine plays a direct role in transporting long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria. This makes it an important component of normal cellular fat metabolism and energy production.

        2. Supports Weight Management

Clinical evidence suggests L-carnitine can produce a modest reduction in body weight and fat mass. A meta-analysis of 37 randomized trials involving 2,292 participants found statistically significant reductions in body weight, BMI, and fat mass.

        3. Supports Exercise Research

L-Carnitine has been extensively studied in sports nutrition, particularly in relation to exercise metabolism, muscle performance, and recovery. Effects vary considerably between populations and study designs.

        4. Supports Cardiometabolic Research

L-Carnitine has also been investigated for effects on blood lipids and other metabolic markers. Its role in mitochondrial fatty-acid transport makes it relevant to broader cardiometabolic research.

        Dosage

Human clinical trials have used approximately 150-4,000 mg/day, depending on the formulation and research objective. A dose-response meta-analysis found the strongest weight-related association around 2,000 mg/day in adults, although this should not be interpreted as a universal therapeutic dose.

        Side Effects

L-Carnitine is generally well tolerated at commonly studied doses. Higher amounts may cause nausea, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, or a characteristic fishy body odor.
