What are SARMs?
SARMs are synthetic compounds that stand for Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. They are research chemicals and are currently under clinical trials for their potential impacts on muscles, bones, adipose tissue reduction, and skeletal health. People often equate them with endogenous androgens such as testosterone, however, they have less androgenic effects on the research subjects than testosterone. Apart from that, they are designed for specific body tissues and may attenuate androgen-mediated activity. However, they may still cause some androgenic effects at supraphysiological dosages.
Working Mechanism of SARMs:
SARMs are known for their unique working mechanism on specific body parts of subjects. They bind with androgen receptors of muscles and bones and may mimic the effects of testosterone. Imitating the effects of testosterone may stimulate hypertrophic muscular adaptations and promote osteogenic activity. Apart from that, they may have less androgenic effects such as vocal cord virilization, pilosebaceous unit stimulation, and myogenic enhancement.
